Nagpur/Washim, Aug 30 (UNI) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out raids at multiple locations in Washim district of Maharashtra in connection with an investigation against a trust linked to Shiv Sena MP Bhavana Gawali, sources said.

As per sources, around seven places were raided by ED officials on Monday. These seven places located in Washim district’s Risod area include the offices of the trust, the office of Risod Urban Cooperative Credit Society Ltd, a medical college office and a school office.

According to sources, irregularities of around Rs 17 crore were found in the trust that is linked to the Yavatmal-Washim MP Bhavana Gawali.

The raids were carried out under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), said the sources.
