Online financial fraud has become so bad through the Covid-19 crisis that financial services industry veterans are being drafted in to volunteer with City of London Police to help them take action on scammers in a joint initiative with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Cybercrime and fraud are a £7bn problem, according to the latest estimates. That’s £7bn of people’s hard-earned savings, £7bn that they need to live on in retirement. That’s a problem worth solving.
