A carrier bag with £20,000 in cash inside was found on a shelf during an early morning raid.
Eight suspects are currently under investigation for their alleged roles in an online investment scam, mainly targeting the elderly.
Police from GMP’s Economic and Cyber Crime Section executed a warrant at the property in Rainow area of Macclesfield just before 7.30am on Monday.
It followed raids on properties in Rochdale and Levenshulme in May, in which three people were arrested and more than 20 designer watches and around £4k in cash were seized.
The raids are part of an on-going investigation into what police described as a ‘complex investment type fraud’ run by ‘sophisticated criminal groups’.
Victims from across the UK who had searched online for ISA investments were contacted and tricked into transferring money into what they believed was a well-known bank.
