SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State University Police Department issued a warning Friday urging the public to beware of a pet-sitting scam email.
According to the Angelo State Police Department, on Aug. 10, there is a pet-sitting scam email being sent around. Please do not respond to the sender of the email.
If you receive an email you were not expecting or did not ask for, please be especially cautious. Any offers of or requests for money should be looked at as potential scams.
If the email sender requests any personal information such as a personal email address, bank information, credit card information, or other personally identifying information, do not provide it and contact the ASU IT security office at secu[email protected] or 325-942-2911.
