Football frenzy is tacking over England as we move tantalisingly close to the final of Euro 2020.
Needless to say, with England playing Italy for the final at Wembley, there’s been a mad rush to get tickets before the matches.
This has resulted in people getting ripped off or discovering catches that might prevent them from entering the stadium.
Here’s what to watch out for, and what to do if you think you’ve been scammed.
Social media scams
From football to gigs and events, many people fall for ads on social media from ‘normal’ ticket holders looking to sell on tickets without the charges and costs associated with ticket resale agencies.
This should set off alarm bells though, because UEFA has a resale option through its website – and a ton of rules about transferal of tickets.
I’m sorry to say that social media ticket sales are questionable to say the least.
