ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving shoplifting, disorderly conduct, abandoned bicycles, scams, underage drinking and a DUI, among other things. Here is information from the latest police reports:
Shoplifting
- A man went into the storage room about 11 p.m. Friday at Jewel, 153 Schiller St., without permission. He loaded two cases of tequila in a cart and stole it. The store found out about the crime 10 a.m. Saturday. He was described as black, 30 to 40 years old, having an average build, and wearing a black baseball hat, a white surgical mask, a black button-down shirt, a gray undershirt, blue and gray camouflaged pants and black shoes.
- A man stole two cartons of Newport cigarettes and an iPhone charging cord about 8 a.m. Friday at 7-Eleven, 525 Spring Road. The suspect left and was later reported committing retail thefts in Villa Park. He was described as black, 30 years old, and wearing a neon yellow baseball…
